Over an 8-week period this summer on Wednesday evenings, we will gather in the early evenings to connect, explore, and work through Brené Brown’s Connections Curriculum. Brené Brown is a world class researcher in the areas of shame, vulnerability, and leadership who is quickly becoming the Martha Stewart of Mental Health. Our book club will use Brown’s book, “I Thought It Was Just Me (but it isn’t)…” and her Connections group material to better understand shame, authenticity, and build self-resilience.

Participants will learn to:
Define shame
Practice empathy
Explore triggers and vulnerabilities
Practice Critical Awareness
Reach out to others
Create, embrace, and inspire change

Those interested in this unique experience should expect to be challenged cognitively, behaviorally, and on an interpersonal level. All participants will be given a personal copy of Brown’s book to keep.
